Fire

The company Gene works for, Flaherty and Collins, had been working on a multi-million dollar project along the canal walk in downtown Indianapolis involving apartments, dining areas and shopping areas. Some areas of the project were nearing completion and they were expecting to begin accepting renters in May. Due to arson the building caught on fire and it ended up being on of the largest fires Indianapolis has seen in 10 years. Mom, Dana, Gene and I were curious and decided to go downtown to look at the damage last weekend on March 14. We could easily see the damaged areas by standing on the opposite side on the canal. It's terrible to see the damage caused, but the company has said they will rebuild and expect it to take 6 months to a year.
