We sure did enjoy our time away with the Truwe side of the family. Our trip started with a drive to Seikeston, MO where we visited Lambert's, the home of the throwd rolls. The boys thought it was great fun to see the rolls sail across the restaurant and Noah actually caught his own roll in his lap. After a good night's rest we drove the rest of the way to Hot Springs, Arkansas where we stayed at Sun Bay resort in two separate condos with the whole family.High lights of the trip included family pictures (see above), trips to the hospital by Doug and Greg, swimming in the resort pool, playing in the sand area at the resort, going out to eat at Fisherman's Warf and seeing the turtles in the water there, being surprised with a renewal of wedding vows ceremony for all the couples, going to the Itty Bitty City with the kids where they enjoyed playing with all sorts of stuff, golfing for the boys, seeing the historic Hot Springs Spa strip and going out the lunch at the Arlington and then going to the antique mall, playing games, watching the St. Louis All-Star game (even though the AL won), seeing the cousins play so well together and enjoy each other, and just having great family time together. We don't always get a chance to be together as a family and it was WONDERFUL to have all that great family fun!!! Thanks Mom and Dad for giving us a reason to get together to celebrate, 40 great years of marriage!! Here are a few pictures from our 5 days of fun.
