Bounce House

On Saturday afternoon we were invited over to a friend's house to celebrate Abby's 6th birthday. For Abby's birthday party they rented a giant bounce house which had a slide attached. Andrew has been in bounce houses before and loved it. Noah is a little different story. When our neighbor had a bounce house for a party back in July Noah just clung to me and cried when I tried to get him to go inside. Saturday Noah was completely different. It may have helped that we were one of the first ones there and he was able to go inside with only Andrew, but he loved it. He didn't even mind when some of the other kids bounced close to him and knocked Noah over. It also impressed me when Noah was brave enough to climb up to the slide and go down. YEA NOAH!! He is usually more cautious about most things. Of course Andrew loved the whole thing and didn't want to go. It helped that we could tell Andrew that Grandma and Papa Truwe were coming over. They came over around 6:30 to see the kids a little and then to play pinochle with Gene and I. We ended up winning the 3 game series. Mom gave us two small stars for our winning games and they got one BIG star. HAHAHA!! If you've played cards with Mom you know that she likes to keep score most of the time and has a thing about putting a star next to the winning team. Gene always jokes with her that she gives herself larger stars than anyone else. I think she does too!!

The star by the winning thing is funny. When we were playing canasta Michael wanted to keep score - and when he won he wanted to put a star by his name :) I guess family traditions are picked up upon, even if we dont' realize it :)
