Weekend Plans

This weekend we were originally going to visit our friends Megan and Chad and their kids Maddie and Will. We packed on Thursday night and were all ready to leave after work. Gene got a phone call from Chad around 1:30 on Friday saying that Chad's Grandma was not doing well and that they were going to have to go to Colorado. Say an extra prayer for Chad's Grandma and his family during this time. We were sorry to hear about Chad's Grandma and sad that we couldn't go see our friends, but since we were already packed we decided to just change our plans. Instead of St. Louis we went to Milwaukee to visit Gene's family. We got to watch Gene's sister Jamie play a tennis match this morning and this evening Gene's sister Stephanie and nephew Cody are coming over. Tomorrow afternoon we're having a cookout over at Gene's parents and most of the family is coming over. Always good to see family, especially when it's a surprise visit
